Our 4th of July morning was spent enjoying an old-time celebration in Old Town (go figure!) including straw doll making, a cake walk, a very simple parade, and lots of good old fashioned American pride.
Our 4th of July evening was a total bust at the downtown fireworks that all went off at once. It was kind of neat to see such a HUGE blast and the sky literally turn from pitch black to as bright as day for a few seconds but once we realized that was the WHOLE SHOW, we were all super bummed. We'll wish for better firework luck next year.
