Boring post with no pictures : (

So bad news...I dropped our camera and it broke!  I feel horrible!  Like a typical mom, I had about 25 bags draped around various parts of my body as I was trying to get from our garage to the house and it fell out of one of them on to the concrete floor.  We need to get a new one ASAP because it's my birthday so I want to take a picture of our night out, but more importantly because Lila's first Halloween is next week!  I'm still trying to decide if she's going to be a ballerina or a 50's girl.  I made a tutu and a poodle skirt this week, so I've got both options pretty much ready.  We will definitely get pictures of Halloween somehow.

I really wanted to post about Lila's two month check-up since I forgot to last week.  It turns out she's in the 80th percentile!  She's 23 inches long (grown 2 inches in 2 months!) and 11 lbs. 13 oz. (gained almost 4 lbs!).  It's amazing that a diet of 100% milk can allow babies grow so quickly. Can you imagine drinking nothing but milk 24/7?  Yuck!  Lila was a champ when she got her shots at the check-up.  We created an accidental diversion that worked great.  Lila seemed hungry, so I decided to feed her a few minutes before the nurse came in.  When I had to take her off so she could get her shots, she was VERY upset.  She was crying so hard wanting to go back to breastfeeding that I don't think she even noticed the shots.  As soon as I gave her what she wanted (more food), she was fine and she wasn't even fussy the rest of the day.  I guess her hunger worked out to be a great distraction!  I was really worried she would feel sick for a day or so, but luckily she seemed just fine.  It's crazy that she's not a newborn anymore...she's going to be a big girl soon!  I'm enjoying every single minute, but it's kind of sad to see her growing up so fast.  I love that girl!
