Miles photo shoot

My friend Alexia is THE BEST photographer, especially for babies/kids. Seriously. Check out her website. You have to use her if you can make it up to L.A.! I felt really bad that I never got newborn pictures taken of Miles so I finally decided it was about time I schedule a little photo shoot before he gets too old and loses he new baby look. I was lucky enough that Alexia could squeeze me in her busy schedule.

We met at a pretty park to take the pictures but unfortunately it was a very cold, windy day. Poor little Miles wasn't in the best mood and we soon discovered it was because he was freezing! How sad, his mama was torturing him in the cold just to get some pictures. He was in the middle of crying and as soon as we put a blanket on him, he closed his eyes and went straight to sleep! Alexia also got a crash course in what it's like to have two kids under two around. Lila was a little bit of a handful. She wasn't being bad, she just needed to be entertained of course so Alexia was kind of on her own trying to get Miles to smile. It's not easy when you have to get up close to get a baby to smile and then try to quickly back away to get an angle where you can actually shoot the camera! The shoot took way longer than expected, we ended up going to take more pictures inside at Alexia's mom's house, and by the end I figured it would be good if we ended up with 2 or 3 good pictures. I had a fun time visiting with Alexia and her mom and I thought I'd be happy with even just a few shots.

Little did I know that I highly underestimated Alexia's abilities (even though I already knew she was great). When she sent me the link to proof the pictures online I was so excited to see that she got tons of cute pictures! She is even more AMAZING than I knew!

Here are a few of my Mr. Miles:

This smile melts my heart!

You can't deny you love the bow tie. Courtesy of his Aunt Geri.

He's big on eating his hands.

One of my favorites!

He is such a smiley guy!
