San Diego Zoo

We've had passes to the San Diego zoo ever since we've lived here and the kids always have so much fun when we go there. I hardly ever take pictures since it's become kind of just another outing spot similar to going to the park. It's funny that we live in a place where major tourist destinations have become commonplace outings for us.

Although the kids and I go fairly often, we don't get to go with Byron very much since the zoo closes pretty early all winter. We went as a family a couple of weekends ago and had a blast.

The kids love the petting zoo. It always amazes how calm the animals are!

Lila feeding a giraffe! They had some sort of special event that week where you could pay $5 for some biscuits and feed a giraffe. I had never seen anything like it at the zoo before and wanted to shout out to all the tourists that they happened to be there during a very special time and should take advantage of it and pay the five bucks. It's funny, they made you wash your hands before feeding the giraffes. I guess humans have more/worse germs than zoo animals.
