According to Byron

How did you meet?
We met freshman year at family home evening. Our groups combined for the activity which was held in the Chipman Hall lobby. I think we played a game. Ashley just sat on the couch the whole time and ate a whole family size pack of Twizzlers. We didn't even talk to each other. My cousin John asked her if she wanted to go to Jamba Juice with us and that's how we became friends. Funny thing is, the person who drove us to Jamba Juice was Jen--the same Jen that John ended up marrying a few years ago. I bet none of us thought that night as we rode to Jamba Juice that any of us would end up marrying each other.

What do you love most about Ashley?
There are hundreds of things I love about Ashley. If I was forced to pick just one, it would be that she takes good care of me. She is very loving and always willing to cook for me and make me happy. She also takes an interest in the things that I like. She's also really funny and smokin' hot. She's the best.

What does Ashley love most about you?
Probably my NASCAR knowledge or sports obsession.

How did you propose?
Still to come...

According to Ashley

How did you meet?
We had a combined Family Home Evening activity our freshman year (at BYU they put you into groups). His cousin/roommate was talking to me the whole time and asked if I wanted to go to Jamba Juice after. He later asked me to go to homecoming with him, but I didn't end up going because I decided I liked Byron more...awwww. So thanks John, without you, Ashley Halsey would never be.

What do you love most about Byron?
Everything, but I'll mention two things here: his sense of humor (he ALWAYS makes me laugh and every girl loves that) and how he gets along with everyone. He's just really likeable and makes friends so easily. I want to be more like that.

What does Byron love most about you?
My good looks of course.

How did Byron propose?
When I picked him up at LAX the first day I saw him after my mission he asked me in the car as we were leaving the parking garage by saying, "so, will you marry me?" Yes, it was the moment I'd dreamed of my entire life.
