Bland Tooth

You know how most of us describe ourselves as having a "sweet tooth"? I know I have one. Well I've always said Byron has a "bland tooth." He'll eat sweets but definitely isn't tempted by them and he doesn't really care about having sauces or seasoning on foods. In fact, he loves eating plain noodles for a snack. Now you might have a little bit of explanation for his handsome figure.

Well I've recently discovered that Lila did not inherit her daddy's bland tooth. In fact, even at nine months old, she likes her food flavorful and well-seasoned. I first discovered this the other day when we offered her a taste of some refried black beans we were eating. I thought they would definitely be too spicy for her, so I just gave her a teeny tiny taste. She loved it so much that she refused to eat any more cheerios or grapes and couldn't get more dip fast enough. Luckily her tummy didn't seem to get upset and she already passes so much gas that I didn't notice any difference.
My discovery of her love of flavorful food was confirmed today at lunch. I was trying to feed her some beef and green bean baby food that she didn't want to have anything to do with. I remembered how much she had loved those spicy beans the day before and decided to season her food with some onion powder and Mrs. Dash's (salt-free). Once her food was seasoned to her liking, she ate it right up no problem and seemed to thoroughly enjoy the meal. I tasted the food and it was a little too peppery for my taste, but Lila loved it! What a funny baby.

That's hilarious (and the picture's even cuter)!! Azure was like this and unfortunately it took me FOREVER to figure it out! I wasn't a smarty like you and figured out to spice up the baby food (maybe she would have actually eaten it if I did)!
