Boompa & Gammy

A summary of Boompa and Gammy's visit (Don't ask...Byron made up these names for Lila to call his parents even before she was born and I'm being forced to go along...they somehow just stuck):
  • Cold weather part of the time, gorgeous weather the other half
  • Boompa had to work every day and listen to people complain about how they need more money.
  • Gammy went with me to buy fabric and we made a gorgeous skirt together!  Thanks mom....I LOVE it!!!
  • We spent a day at the beach and Byron and I even got brave enough to dive in the water after getting used to the icy temperatures from wading up to our knees for 30 minutes looking for sand dollars.
  • I slept in every day while Gammy took Lila on walks and introduced her to the swing down at the park for the first time.  She loves it!
  • We went to the pool and Gammy taught Lila how to hold her breath and do the back stroke.  Okay, well maybe not the backstroke, but she did dunk Lila under the water a few times.  Apparently if you blow in a baby's face, she holds her breath and you can put her under.  Surprisingly, it actually worked!  Gammy is much more adventurous with these types of things than I am.
  • Byron and Gammy visited the Spanish mission near our house.
  • We ate lots of good Mexican food.
  • We visited Balboa Park and some of the museums there.
  • Took a drive out to Point Loma for the awesome views.
We had an absolutely fabulous time.  Our only regret is that Joanie couldn't come visit too.  Thanks for visiting and we miss you already!

Boompa and Lila
You can see where Byron gets his good looks from.
Greeting Gammy and Byron as they got home from their visit to the Mission San Diego de Alcala.
There are a ton of lizards around here and here's one they captured a picture of at the Mission.  We also have bunnies that come out at night and we even saw a coyote once.  Who knew we'd be surrounded by wildlife in San Diego?
Beautiful Balboa Park.  Gammy wore Lila around in the moby wrap for most of our outings.
The auto museum at Balboa Park...maybe Gammy likes cars because she sure looks a lot happier in this picture than the last one!
The beautiful parking lot at Balboa Park (ok, so I just put this picture on here because it was the only one with me in it...p.s. I got highlights from my friend Kristi-didn't she do a good job?)

How fun! That moby wrap looks awesome! You'll have to show my how that works (I've never seen one before)! You hair looks incredible! Makes me want to go with some blonde highlights too! :)
